A strong December pushed annual home sales to their highest level in five years, with each of the region’s nine counties posting gains of at least 10 percent over 2011, the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors said Wednesday. That, along with the inventory of homes for sale falling to levels not seen since 2006, combined to push prices to a five-year high.
